Our Program identification numbers are:
ACGME ID: 120010073
NRMP Code: 2335120C
Our USMLE Score requirements for admittance to our residency program are listed in our ERAS Program description (you can access FREIDA online). We require that you have passed the USMLE Step 1 by the second attempt and USMLE Step 2 on your first attempt. We do not require USMLE Step 3 (and the program pays for the first attempt for Matched applicants). Almost all who receive an interview most likely passed each step exam on their first attempt.
We prefer prior U.S. clinical experience and/or letters of recommendation from clinicians working in the U.S. or U.S-licensed physicians working abroad. Crestwood Family Medicine residency program does not offer any non-U.S. citizen IMG observerships, externships or research positions.
We accept U.S. MD, DOs as well as International Medical Graduates (IMGs). All applicants must participate in the NRMP match through the ERAS system. Qualified IMG applications sent prior to November 15th will receive priority review status.
We require IMGs to have graduated medical school less than three (3) years ago.
Unfortunately, we are not able to respond to inquiries by email or phone. Please send all applications for Crestwood Family Medicine Residency Program via ERAS and, if we need additional information to answer your questions, we will contact you.
Our program provides J1 visa sponsorship only at this time.
While we will mostly be doing in person interviews, we understand that not everyone is able to travel. We do not want this to be a limiting factor, so we will be offering virtual interviews to qualified applicants.
Graduates of medical universities excluded by the Alabama Medical Licensure Board will not be considered (https://dev.albme.org/requirements-for-licensure). As such, these schools are ineligible for our program:
Unfortunately, we are not able to respond to questions received via email or voicemail. Please send all applications for Crestwood Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program via ERAS and, if we have questions, we will reach out to obtain more information from you.
